AVA - Prague airport's new AI assistant

If you’re flying through Václav Havel Airport Prague (PRG), there’s a cool new tool worth knowing about. The airport has launched AVA, an AI-powered digital travel assistant you can chat with on WhatsApp 24/7.

AVA (Aviation Assistant) provides passengers with real-time flight information including gate numbers, boarding updates, baggage belt assignments, and delays. You can even ask it questions like where to find lounges, cafes, security checkpoints, or parking. Basically replacing old one-way SMS alerts with an interactive, and on-demand support.

Right now AVA works in multiple languages on WhatsApp, and the airport plans to expand support to platforms like Facebook Messenger soon. Later this spring, passengers may also be connected directly to a live agent if the AI can’t answer a query.

This kind of digital helper is especially handy at busy European hubs like Prague, where real-time updates and easy navigation can seriously cut traveller stress. It’s a small change that could make your next trip through Central Europe just a little smoother.
